One problem I have with my z64 is that very often when I've played a game for like 15 min the game just freezes mostly in the
selection menu of the game...
I get this problem with most of the games I've tried yet like: wwf warzone, pokemon stadium 2 and pokemon snap...
another thing that seems to be a problem is that the zip drive in the z64 sounds strange when its loading...
I'm just wondering if anyone got the same probs.
Can there be something wrong with the hardware?
Thanks

I've fixed one of the problems; The loading of the rom was halted at 38% (had that prob with many roms) but I fixed that by just change zip disk http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/wink.gif
hehe...
well, I just got another problem =(
This time with following games: Dukezerohour, sw episode1 racer road rash and some more... when I start the game I get a screen that says something like this:
"invalid tv system"
Is that because I live in europe? (PAL)
Sorry for all these lame questions...
I'm new on this ya know. =)
Thanks

Are you running fully PAL hardware also?
I've never had any of this sort of problem with the V64, either transferring through CD or PC cable, so maybe it's just a Z thing.
I'm running NTSC N64 into a PAL II signal TV (525@60)

I'm not opinionated, I just talk a lot.

You have a PAL n64 right??
And I guess the roms that are given that error message are NTSC (USA, JAP) right??
That's the country lockout you're having problems with. This is put in the cartridges so you can't play NTSC games on a PAL system.
Few games give an error message. Most of the time you just get a black screen.
What you have to do is get Paladin and use the /f function.
Then the games will play.
Next just hope your tv system supports PAL 60Hz.

It also works on a HW3 with bios 2.15 and Mario Kart as bootcard.
