i got this emulator for the n64 last night but it appears to be just like the pc engine emu only one game included and no way of using it with other msx games. i hope that a updated version is released allowing the use of other games because it seems to run quite well. after all whats the point of a emu that only runs one game like the pc engine one. waste of time.

It's on http://64zine.vintagegaming.com/

If the mame port has 88 roms (avail here), why not the nice emu with salamander???

For one, mame is NOT available here, and never has been, and I'm getting sick of hearing it..

the facts are that Salamadender is a commerical product, and Konami are currently STILL selling it.

And as for the "new" version of the emulator, it STILL has the rom in it, it's just fixed not to work, but dont worry... it will appear on dextrose soon, in a more acceptable form.

LOL Mane has never been here? Funny, I could've sworn I downloaded here a few months ago .

OK I'll play along - "Oh how foolish of me I must've obtained it somewhere else but just forgot" http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/smile.gif

yeah, sure you downloaded it here, along with the hardcore pornography and 6 gig of MP3s that take up the rest of your hard drive

RedboX: Why are you getting so defensive? What does it matter whether it was here or not if it isn't here now? When Dextrose came back in the form of Dextrose 3 I am POSITIVE that I downloaded it from here just to confirm that the version I had obtained elsewhere was the same one.

Or I could be mistaken... yeah, that's the ticket.

Anyone know how to contact the author to have him (ask him, beg him, threaten him to) add support for the V64 (and other units) emulator mode?

BTW, I have never seen MAME on Dextrose in my 3+ years of visiting it.

I remember "Mame 64 incl. 88 games" in the games section I especially remember the "incl." I just remember weird things like that.

I'm more possitive that you did'nt download it from dextrose..

And I know you did'nt, Ive spent the best part of the evening looking thought the archive to for mame, and theres no sign of it ever being on here. (outside of the forum the only references are in the Dx Chart, who were written by some lamer...)

and if your wondering why I'm pissed off about people going on about mame being on dextrose is because I recularly get emails asking "why did you remove" which is quite annoying WHEN IT WAS'NT HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE.....

As for a newer version of mame64, the author of the orginal n64 port has gone onto other things a long long time ago, and is currently working on a emulator for the PSX2 I'm lead to belive...
