Currently only the V64jr supports 512 Mbit games. There nothing to be done about it.

If you hurry, you can still get a V64JR http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/smile.gif

What makes you think Zelda Gaiden will be 512mbits? I haven't seen any confirmation on this, just a bunch of rumors that started to spread around yesterday.

There are also some rumours that Zelda Gaiden will require the original Zelda cart to run, using a Sonic & Knuckles style cart connect procedure..... the same has been said about Banjo Kazooie - Tooie to reveal extra levels in the first game.
Not to hard to append the cart images together but this way even Zelda Gaiden was 256mbit u would still need a 512mbit unit to run it.
Just rumours tho, and u know how wild they can be, just bide ur time and wait and see... http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/wink.gif

Maybe it is possible to use Zelda as bootcard!

It all depends on how those carts address the cart plugged into them (if they do indeed use this "lock-on" cart idea).

you can play Sonic & Knuckles w/ Sonic 3 'attached' on Genecyst, using unmodded ROMs. you just copy them so its S&K.BIN+SONIC3.BIN FULL.BIN. I suppost the same could be done for Zelda, with a jr, as long as it is small enough.

Even if it dosen't work, the jr and z64 emulate carts, so you could always buy (holy shit!) the second game and stick your jr on top, it should work.

There's a fairly good chance it would work with the V64jr, even if they didn't use the simple method that the Genesis cart used. But like I said before, it all depends on how the lock-on cart handles the addresses for the cart thats plugged into it.

Hmm, I think you are confusing Zelda Gaiden with Ura-Zelda. Ura-Zelda is a 64DD add-on for the original Zelda which of course requires the cart.

Yes, but still the new Banjo game _could_ use the "lock-on" 'technology'...

Yes Banjo might but no way is Zelda Gaiden going to.
