I wonder if it will be dumped soon, I'm getting anxious to play it...And unlike Zelda, hopefully it won't matter too much if it's Japanese...

Of course in japan it's tomorrow now.

Have you ever wondered by japan is the center of the electronic industry, it's because they are hours ahead of the rest of the world..

How long does it usually take for a new Japanese game to be dumped?

I want to check out this Waluigi character, hehe... http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/smile.gif

For christs sake, what do you think it is, the DreamPast scene, you dont have any rights to demand that games are dumped.

If you really want the game that badly, import it, then you can be elete and release it yourself.

No one demanded anything. They just asked some questions...

I must confess I'm quite eager for this game also. I have spent a lot of time playing Mario Golf lately - man I love those nintendo games! But chances are, as always, the game is probabally protected with some funky new code. So even if the game was dumped we could not play it I guess. Never the less I can't help being optimistic! http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Dang RedboX, do you always act like you have gerbil stuck up your butt?! (Nothing personal, but I know someone who knows a good proctologist if you're interested) I was just curious because it looks like a fun game! I would import it, but that takes forever (usually) and can be pretty pricey (Maybe I just answered my own question, hehe).

And these posts aren't demanding at all, just simple questions hoping to get simple answers. And even if it was a demand, I we are the consumer! And have a right to pirate video games!! (hehehe, j/k)

And also, it took me a while to figure out what you meant by "elete" I thought you forgot your "D" in "delete", hehe, but that would have made no sense. But I guess you meant "elite", that's how you spell it. Just so you know. And what the heck is the "DreamPast" scene? Sorry, never heard of it.

But anyhoo, that's enough for now, later all.

I played this game at E3, and I must say that it was very fun.
It was one of the more popular games at E3, next to Zelda MM and Perfect Dark. There was always a big line to play it.

Maybe Schweino could do it http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

(I'm guessing he runs Da Schwein's N64 Source as he has the same image in his sig, or he did anyway).

PAL users: LaC's bootemu (set to NTSC) DOSEN'T work!! Instead use PALadin /f, it's been fine for me so far (it's also 6101 by default so no worries there). Just thought I would say beofre anyone goes insane thinking their jr is broke or soemthing (like I was - if you load it up without fixing it first you don't get a 'not for this country' screen, it just crashes with garbled gfx!!)

Oh and to answer luna's question... it's great! Bowser just smacked me right in the face with the ball tho, mother fvcker!! Pity you can't play it yet http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/frown.gif

Oh and has anyone worked out what save type it is yet? I'm currently using my DS1 and Goldeneye and it hasn't crashed yet so it's either 512byte EEPROM, 32kbytes SRAM or it dosen't care if it can't save http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Well at least luna won't have a problem saving if it's SRAM, it's on 128mbit (which surprised me really, thought it would be 256 like Mario Golf, if not more).

mario tennis works/saves perfectly with SWEP as the boot cart.

If it's really needed then I'll re-upload it too and give the URL to Erkay and anyone who emails me...

Anyway here's some useful info...
http://www.nintendo.com/n64/mariotennis/screens77.html

I've opened the Mario court already... pity I don't know what save type it is (or my DS1 won't work with it, like Mario Golf http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/frown.gif) - maybe someone else will release an 'everything enabled'-type save sooner or later.

[EDIT] I've re-opened the Mario Bros court and the Yoshi court, now I'm doing the DK court... http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Fry's Electronics store is a good place for cheap n64 games. You can get Star Wars Ep 1 and WCW Revenge for $9.99. I got Kobe 2(for flash rom games like C&C, which I couldn't find) for $14.99. I also got Resident Evil for $19.99. All were sealed and brand new.

I found SWEP1 for $9.99 at EBWorld.com, so that's cool...If anyone's interested in getting a cheap one you might want to check it out.

But what would be even better than getting that would be if someone could make the crack for Mario Tennis. http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/smile.gif Hey RedboX, here's your chance to upstage you arch-nemesis, LaC! Hehe, or visa versa...Lets have a little contest to see who can do it the fastest..."On your marks, get set, GO!"

Or even better, maybe one of you guys should hold a "Cracking Seminar" (hehe) and teach us all to do it...That would rock...

But anyways, don't mind me, I'm just rambling...

"Cracking Seminar"?
A lot of people seem to think that anyone with no programing knowledge can just crack a game with some docs or even a "Cracking Seminar".

People say that it's "easy" to crack a game. Well it probably is to anyone who has good knowledge of an assembler. I suggest you go out and learn it before asking for asking for any "cracking seminar".

Oh and good luck if you do decide to learn assembler http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/smile.gif. I had a uni coursework on ASM. I couldn't do it, didn't do it and unsuprisingly failed http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

What sort of crack are you guys going on about, the game plays and saves fine for me.

Do you mean a PAL fix?

Paul_Bunyan
Thu 27 Jul 2000, 16:49
I was mainly talking about a save-redirect crack, because you need SWEP1 (or equivilent chip) to save...And since I don't have it or the like (yet) I just thought it would be handy, but it's not all that important now that I think more about it, because it's still fun without saving, and SWEP1 is only like $9.99, but if you want to still make one that would be pretty cool, but I know you're real busy too...
