It's here, it's cool, it's hot, it's ISS 2000, wow what agame. But, didn't I played this game some time ago? Yes, it's just the same as Perfect Striker 2, PS2 had only J-league, ISS2K has a lot of countries, okay, that's great and it's now in english with English commentary. That's all cool, but I miss one thing that Perfect Striker 2 had: the Carreer/Success mode, I thought it would be a very cool mode, I didn't understand Japanese, so I waited long, and now it hasn't got that mode. But here's my total score of it:
Graphics : 8
Sound : 8 (this needs sound fix, did convert NTSC to PAL)
Presentation : 8
Gameplay : 9
Replay Value : 10!
Overall score (not an average) : 9.7/10

I can't believe they'd make us wait so long and then axe the most interesting feature. It's worse than the damn PD facemapping thing thing (I know it's pathetic but I was really looking forward to that). Hopefully they'll put it back in for the PAL release as this could well be Europe's best selling game for some time.

Anyway, with or without Carrer Mode, the game sucks !!
Framerate is shit in HiRes mode and grafix is shit in low-res mode. game play didn't changed much since the first ISS 64 I played in 1997 (or 98 dont remember...)
All over, why should I play this game ??

PS: I loved ISS 64, it was really great, but ISS 200 is not worth the hype.

Shit! I go away for a couple of days and ISS 2000 comes out!
I've yet to try ISS2000 (I hate my 56K shitter http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/frown.gif ), but what do you mean by save problems in Perfect Striker 2? Perfect Striker 2 saved fine for me using an SRAM cart. Also 'Success' (Career mode) worked in PS2 with SRAM. One thing I noticed on PS2 was when you didn't use SRAM, the player's shirt's has plus's (+) on the back instead of the player's number!
Has anyone tried ISS2000 with SRAM yet?

This game is the shit!
I was a little sceptic that this would be too similar to Perfect Striker 2 but it's got some new features. Not only is it now in high res (I found that frame rate does ocassionly slow down but it's not as bad as SickBoy006 makes it out to be) but the game actually runs a lot faster. One of the best features has to be the spanish commmentary as well english http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/biggrin.gif ! It looks like they have left out the 'Success' mode as there is a Euro Cup option instead. They probably thought it was one of those jap crap ideas that's to wacky for the west!
Also I didn't need the PAL fix as there was nothing wrong with the sound (My setup is PAL N64, CD64 with auto PAL fix activated, and SRAM cart)! I've yet to try saving as now I'm off to play some more http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/biggrin.gif !

they have not left it out i tell y a...as i said...this cant be final as box / manual had carrer mode plasterd all over.....and when i phone konami a while back they gave me a mid - september release date ...and all mag previews have had carrer mode in ....
and about the game....its fucking phenominal...they only minus point i can see is that its still got that silly `hoof over the bar from 2 feet` problem of the jap ver.
but at least i can now use the wonderful lofted thruball move with england instead of grampus 8 http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/smile.gif

this game is really really good i feel. the graphics in Hi res are so much clearer and the game is faster, although it jerks a bit.
the career mode can't have been chopped out. no way, why would Konomai cut out such a great feature?
also, a saving question. i used my memory pak to save edited player names. i done it for france, italy and germany no problem. then when i try to edit player names of other teams, it won't save them at all.
anyone having this problem?
ign 64 says the game is available to rent. anyone seen the career mode in the rented cart?
cheers

The ISS2K that is for rental, is the pre-release cart, I think. The final version was dated for september...

I've never heard of any pre-release copy of a game being available for rent in the US. I wouldn't doubt though if it is a rental only game.
And just cause the box and manual list a feature in the game that is not present, doesn't make it non-final either. Boxes and manuals are usually printed before the final build of the game. Konami might have planned a career mode, but axed it near the end. They probably didn't want to spend anymore time on the game, especially if they knew it would be for rental only.
