'Extra' hidden Maza Tennis characters...

Surely there must b a way of finding and unlocking them with an Action Replay or trainer of some sort (?).

Is it possible to unlock this sort of hidden item with a trainer when its never been located before? I mean can stuff like this be searched out in a rom. Or is the GBC version going to be needed to show the way?

If the characters are already programed into the game then there is a way to get at them, either through codes or a crack of some type...

But if Nintendo figured out a way that the GameBoy actually has to transfer the new character data over then us Non-GameBoy owners are out of luck...

Didn't Mario Golf also have hidden players to transfer from the Game Boy to the N64? I know I read about it on IGN in a preview but I dont know if it was in the final game or not.

Yes, there is a feature like this in Mario Golf. Also in Mario Golf once you have transferred your extras to the N64 cart they stay there, you don't have to plug the GB cart in again, and it will probably be the same for Mario Tennis too.

So, if someone (LaC?) makes a save redirect for Mario Tennis 64 to SRAM, or some other method to distribute Mario Tennis 64 save data is divised, someone with a transfer pak and the GB cart (or a bung cart with the ROM on, whatever) could unlock the characters on their GBC, transfer them to their N64, send the save to Dextrose, and then everyone would be happy http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Without sounding to disparaging "ARRID GET A LIFE" Come on, go out into the real world maybe even do some shopping (food etc). We all love playing games but your comments seem desperate, after all it's only hidden game sprites?. Okay I had to reply because I am a serious gamer but some of the comments on this board (like arrid's) are well CHILDISH.

My sister played the game for a while and told me that later also DK Jr. appears in the game. Yeah, not Diddy Kong or someone like that, the Real Donkey Kong Jr. who had some Arcade and Video Games in the early 80s...

there is no way that you can put 2 new characters, their designs, sprites, moves, voices and data into 2048 bytes.

They MUST be inside the N64 rom.

The GB just send a "key" to unlock them.

I think they're already in the cart too...Therfore I guess someone will need to find/make a crack/code to unlock them...

But even without them it's still a pretty cool game.

Yeah, the characters will definitly be in the rom already... I was just wondered if they could be found and unlocked by someone before the GB game was released.
