I was looking pretty forward to this game, but now that I've read Lac's V64 junior is dying on him I am breathing normally again with a tear in my eye http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/frown.gif

waiting? yeah for sure. but, being a z user, í´m hoping more that the rumor of an "only" 256mb cart is true.
or should that be written "rumour"? http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/wink.gif

Well, there is always LaC´s universal bootemu and the proper savechip isn´t very hard to find, think about it, Perfect Dark was 6105 and used either mempak or 16kbit eeprom http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Woohoo! Banjo-Tooie is officially 256Mb, and has also been officially released...

So, I guess it should be any day now! But it'll probably need crackin', but I must say it looks like it's gonna be good fun...I really enjoyed the first one too...

Cool, it's finally out...

Just out of interest, how does a group actually release a new game?

I mean, there are certain sites that eventually get the ROMs and newsgroups and the like but, where do they *first* go?

I think they go to canada first

Any chance of this being rel'd anytime soon? After having Zelda 2 so long before the official release date I would have thought that (mnc) someone would have this little gem out a looooong time ago.

Anyone else awaiting this with more than baited breath?

It's on the News group, saw it this morning, unfortunately my crappy news server only got about 12 out of the 31 pieces...either that or they just haven't recieved the rest yet.

Anyone confirmed how it links up with the old game yet?

Or was this feature 'pulled at the last minute'? http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

it was removed from the project the current way is to use a special code you earn in Banjo-Tooie which was the original debug code to test out that function

Where did you read this at? I wouldn't mind checking the article out.

If that's true, I think it's a disgrace and leads me to believe that Rare is getting lazy (at least with the N64). When BT was first announced, they made such a big deal about how secrets/new areas can be unlocked in BK by doing things in BT. And now it seems either they completely scrapped that idea or took the easy road and just stuck those same areas in BT (like that ice key thing).

If you aren't 100% sure you can add a feature to a game, don't mention it, say it's only a possible feature, or at the least don't make a big deal about it.

I thought we had been over this, the only thing that rare have officaly said is that there are areas in BK that you cant access in the game, but you will be able to in BT.

and thats it, we have had endless speculation about lockon carts, secret debug codes, mempak saves ever since.

All Rare promised is that there whould be another game and it whould be good, and they have managed to live upto that promise.

maybe if you shut up and played the game you might be a little more mellow.

Well, that's not what I remember reading, but my memory isn't the greatest, so I could be wrong. Either way, I still think putting stuff in BK that you can't access and then just putting those same areas in BT where you can access them is a pretty cheap "feature".

BTW, I have no desire to play the game since I never liked the first one. I'd rather play DK64.
