I dl ISS when the US rom was released, and as many others i was disappointed they had removed the career mode from the Jap version. But I saw the game in a store on PAL, and it said that u COULD play the career mode. Is this true? does the PAL version have career mode?
I have tried to find the PAL release to check it out, but with no luck http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/frown.gif

Yes, guys, definitively, there's the career mode on the pal release of the game, but (curious), they removed the spanish reporters shown in the usa version, anyone understand this???
By the way, it's really funny the career mode, and exciting to be able to get to the national team http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/wink.gif

ESPN and American TV channels seem to usually have Spanish commentary as an option(coz of the Mexicans), generally in European countries (apart from Spain obviously) they don't. If there's a Spanish language option, try starting a game with that and see if you get Spanish commentator names.

Doesn't it??? I thought they would have done English, French, Spanish, German... maybe Dutch...
Hmmm yeh and you can't just use the NTSC-U version coz it doesn't have career mode...
That sucks hehe... email Konami maybe?
Hopefully they'll put more languages in the GC version :)

Not at all, it sin't a pal-multi game http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/frown.gif
I got both versions, and of course I prefer the pal ver (mostly for the career mode), but it's really annoying
And yes VTG, on GAMECUBE there won't be the excuse of the lack of space...

They put the spanish on the US rom cos it's the second most spoken language in the US, and for the PAL version, most of Europe speaks English or German, so those are hte only languages used.

why hasnt there been any posts the last few hours?
is everybody dead?
Naw, they're not dead, more likely participating in a silly American tradition known as the "Superbowl", a concept which probably perplexes the rest of the world where they wonder how people can play "football" with the ball in their hands.

On the other hand, more than dead, maybe other people just enjoyed their lifes spending the sunday with their friends, rather than losing the day hangin' around with the pc.... http://www.dextrose.com/ubb/wink.gif

Yes and ummm... most of Africa speaks French so...
So umm anyway, what I don't get about american 'sports' (now that I just worked out the rules of 'football' and actually understand it!!! and everything), why do they get so worked up about having an extra 0.0000001 picoseconds on extra at the end of the game coz supposedly they can do something in that time. I mean, FFS... the time's run out, you lost a basketball match by 2 points, fuckin deal with it innit.
Coz they've *aaaaaalways* got to win...
