zelda crack don't work

I've got a Z64 with HW 2.0, bios 2.1 and Mario Kart as my host cart. CZN intro works but when I press start the screen turns black and stays that way. Could it be my host cart or does the patch just not work? Please help.

Its strange so many people have problems with Zelda.
Could it be that the header of the HS-Version of Zelda causes problems ?
They often change the header of the original rom, which is quite annoying when cracking a games....
I will investigate on that though ...
