I cannot confirm this but I have heard that Cruisn World does not save properly on current backup systems? If this is true, is anyone working on a fix? Does anyone care?

Here's what I gather about this issue:
Cruisn' World uses double EEPROM, rather than single EEPROM like most EEPROM games have, therefore host carts like Super Mario 64 that only have single EEPROM don't work for saving in Cruisn' World. I'm not even sure if using a host cart that used double eeprom would work... it probably wouldn't work with the CRACKED version since the boot code is different. The only other games that I know that use double EEPROM are Yoshi's Story and Doraemon 2. There are cracks for both of these games that let you save using single EEPROM, however there are some limitations. For example, Yoshi's Story saves level information but not score/hi score information, and Doraemon 2 only alows use of the first 2 save slots. Anyway it's all confusing as hell, good thing there are only a few double eeprom carts out there. I hope I haven't confused you more.

Is it possible to fix this problem? I would like to get a game going but I can't because I can't save it. Someone please do some research. I'm sure many gamers would appriciate it, or maybe not.

I had some success using Yoshi's Story as the host cart with the uncracked version of the rom. It's been awhile, but I remember that not all of the data saved. You might try renting Yoshi's Story or buying it used at EB, and if it doesn't let you do what you want-- take it back.
